Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeannine Erlhoff.

Jeannine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 1981 when in need of a place to put his socks, Terry West refinished a dresser in his garage and a neighbor offered to buy it. That was the beginning of West Antiques which is now Noble Treasures Antiques. West Antiques occupied both buildings in the 400 block of S. Public Rd. The Wests sourced antiques both locally and from the Midwest.

After Terry’s death, the store passed to Cindy Noble and Martha Belsky who renamed it Noble Treasures and rented space to other local antique dealers. In 2015, my former business partner and I had the opportunity to buy Noble Treasures. Anne has since left to pursue other interests leaving me as the sole owner.

Noble Treasures Antiques has expanded to include over 6,000 square feet which are home to the local area’s premier antique dealers. We offer furniture, vintage clothing, Native American and fine jewelry, collectibles, books, vinyl, and much more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have been so lucky to have Nancy West as our landlady. Nancy understands that small businesses make a community unique. She does everything she can to make sure we are successful.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Noble Treasures Antiques?
We offer quality, well-crafted, real wood furniture. We also offer vintage clothing, Native American and fine jewelry, collectibles, books, vinyl, and much more from an era when things were made to last.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I like the bohemian quality of Lafayette. We have several art galleries and small businesses that add to the charm.
