Peggy Rose Vintage Clothes

This collection is inspired by and a tribute to the booth owner’s mother Peggy, who as a young woman in the late 1940’s worked in fashion merchandising at Lloyd & Taylor in NYC. Coming from the small town of Cornwall-on-the-Hudson, she rode the train into the big city and made some of her own dresses to wear to work. She was also invited to military balls at the nearby West Point academy and of course had to have the right gown for those special occasions. She lovingly kept and preserved her dresses throughout the years. Her daughter grew up admiring all these treasures, though never quite fitting in them she nonetheless was inspired and began collecting and curating vintage clothes at a young age herself. This collection is comprised mainly of 1940’s and 1950’s beautiful women’s tailored suits, dresses and shoes as well as some choice men’s items. Come, step back in time and admire the quality of these vintage clothes and maybe just find a treasure for yourself.
