West Antiques

Nancy West, our illustrious landlady and original owner of West Antiques

Nancy and Terry West started West’s Antiques 36 years ago in Old Town Lafayette after Terry discovered a passion that developed during refinishing a second hand dresser he bought because he needed a place to put his socks. In 1981, the Wests bought the buildings in the 400 block of South Public Rd. where they operated West’s Antiques for 21years.

Nancy was instrumental in starting the Oatmeal Festival in 1995 and the Peach Festival in 1999. Both festivals are celebrated annually and are still great successes. Nancy West and the city also started an art coop – now pARTiculars. West’s Antiques entered the Boulder County Hall of Fame in 2001. Nancy was Business Woman of the year in 2000. Nancy West and West Antiques earned great respect and have been an integral part in fostering small business in the Lafayette Old Town community.
